Cleaning of Gas Emissions By Biological Method
(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2022-03-01) Dyachok, Vasyl; Venher, Liubov; Huhlych, Serhiy; Svjantko, Iryna; Lviv Polytechnic National University
The paper shows the possibility of using chlorophyllsynthesizing microalgae of Chlorella Vulgaris to purify biogas from carbon dioxide (CO2), hydrogen sulfide (H2S) and ammonia (NH3). Experimental dependences of the dynamics of CO2 uptake by microalgae under the action of H2S inhibitor and NH3 activator are presented. A mathematical description of the growth of biomass of microalgae Chlorella Vulgaris depending on the concentration of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia was obtained. The optimal values of hydrogen sulfide and ammonia concentration for the efficient process of carbon dioxide uptake by chlorophyll-synthesizing microalgae Chlorella Vulgaris from biomethanization gas have been established.

Improvement of purification technology of the liquid waste from fermentation production
(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2021-03-03) Krusir, Galina; Sagdeeva, Olga; Tsykalo, Alfred; Vilhovska, Yuliia; Shpyrko, Tatyana; Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies
One of the areas of waste disposal of fermentation industries is anaerobic fermentation and biogas production, which becomes increasingly attractive for researchers not only because of the global energy crisis but also the environmental one. Biogas production is based on methane fermentation fundamentally different from other types of fermentation, which creates certain difficulties in its implementation on a large scale. Therefore, the development of innovative energy and resource- saving technologies for the processing of liquid waste from fermentation industries is an urgent task for the development of the domestic food industry. The aim of the work is to develop, theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the technology of processing liquid waste from fermentation plants.

Ecological problems of enterprises of alcohol industry
(Видавництво Львівської політехніки, 2020-02-10) Havryshko, Marianna; Popovych, Olena; Yaremko, Halyna; Lviv Polytechnic National University
The issue of industrial water treatment and food waste disposal is particularly relevant, especially for the alcohol industry. The problem of wastewater treatment and waste accumulation in the process of alcohol production is due to high chemical and biological oxygen demand, specific colour and odour, a large number of suspended substances, low pH. Therefore, the choice of promising wastewater treatment technologies is of paramount importance to ensure the ecological safety of the environment. The purpose of the paper is 1) to analyze the state of the alcohol industry in Ukraine in recent years, and methods of its waste disposal; 2) to investigate and determine effective methods of waste disposal in the alcohol industry.

Qualitative and quantitative characteristics of biogas of cyanea organic mass
(Publishing House of Lviv Polytechnic National University, 2016) Digtiar, Sergy
The article discusses the results of studies of the methane production from cyan biomass based on the data obtained in the course of a laboratory experiments. The yield of biogas was calculated from the substrate per unit volume, and its energy properties were determined. Experimental data indicates the feasibility and economic viability of this biotechnology.

Reduction of the environmental threat from uncontrolled development of cyanobacteria in the waters of the Dnieper reservoirs
(Publishing House of Lviv Polytechnic National University, 2016) Malovanyy, Myroslav; Nykyforov, Volodymyr; Kharlamova, Olena; Synelnikov, Alexander; Dereyko, Khrystyna
We have analyzed the ecological hazard that has emerged as a result of the construction of hydropower plants on the Dnieper, which became the cause of uncontrolled development of cyanobacteria. The environmental risks that are caused by the uncontrolled development of cyanobacteria and their biodegradability were studied. The efficiency of application of the known methods of suppression of mass development of the blue-green algae was analyzed. The amount of biogas that can be synthesized from cyanobacteria biomass of Kremenchug reservoir was estimated. The strategy of avoiding the ecological disaster from the uncontrolled development of cyanobacteria and its negative impact on the environment was suggested.
